This fuel cell came as a result of smashing my original
tank in for the last time.
Review
Praise:
Top quality, perfect fit, has a roll over vent valve, hard
to smash in the tub, lots of extra clearance under the tub.
Criticism:
Vent and return fittings are in a weird spot, sump
makes it hard to mount on a flat surface.
Ease
of installation:
Not easy. Takes moderate
fabricating skills to be successful.
The cell is aluminum with a rollover
vent, return, and 2 suction ports. All the fittings are anodized aluminum
Aeroquip AN fittings. It also has a GM sender 0-90 ohm.
Summit part# SUM-290220-S
The cell has a sump area on the bottom that hangs down
for the suction. This area hangs below the tub and looks somewhat
vulnerable to rocks so a skid plate is in the works. The GM sender doesn't
work with the Jeep fuel gauge.
The Aeroquip fittings and hose are very nice and easy to
work with, definitely worth the money. I am bending a tube frame to
protect the tank and fittings and act as a support for a cargo
rack.
More pictures to come.
