Mike's 1976 CJ-7 is under construction!

Update! Here are a couple of new pictures of Mike's project. He has come a long way and is planning a D60 swap in the near future. New1 | New2
"360 c.i. bored .040, comp cam 270h, machined heads for screw in studs, roller
rockers, A.M.C 343 flat top pistons (11.07:1 Comp, Yikes!) Balanced and blueprinted. If you
ever need any 304 parts I have a complete one in my garage!
Ford T-18 4 speed 6.32:1 first, Advanced Adapter to Dana 20, Centerforce dual friction
clutch, 3/4 ton Dana 44 front 5.13 Precision gears Detroit Locker,1 ton Dana 70 rear 5.13
Precision gear Detroit Locker, disk brakes, frame was totally stripped and repainted,
front springs were moved outside the frame for SOA set up with full width axles.
Tub has been blasted and painted Ford performance white. I have all new Autometer
Procomp gauges and will install them in a custom dash once I get a blank dash.
I plan to run 42" Swampers on 16.6x12 rims with 6" lift from the SOA + 3"
Superlift springs + 1.5" shackles. There is plenty of room not to mention the body
lift. since I live in the east we don't do much rock crawling so articulation is not
paramount but we do have mud and big tires and lots of HP is needed. My motor dynoed at
377hp @5200 rpm and made 445ft/lb. @ 4000 r.p.m. and that was with stock manifolds and a
lousy ignition."
"I could go on
and on for days about all the cash I have poured into the damn thing but you
get the gist of it."
